Although the news commentary on assassinations and Hindu nationalism is important, you've got to have a little levity in your life too. And levity is never in short supply at Non Stop Bhangra, held monthly at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco (155 Fell Street at Van Ness). The latest Non Stop installation on Saturday featured a "Bollywood vs Bhangra Mashup." Bhangra won hands-down (despite the fact that someone tried to mix "Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna" from DDLJ three separate times over the course of the evening- I give them points for persistence). Bhangra is always danceable... but not always as interesting on YouTube. Check out "Hadippa" from Dil Bole Hadippa which was mixed on Saturday night:
