Country's Largest Sikh Gurdwara Opens in San Jose
Governor Jerry Brown, along with thousands of others, attended the opening of the $20 million renovation and expansion of the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in San Jose, making it the largest gurdwara in the US. There has been intense debate surrounding the construction and budget, leading to six currently pending lawsuits. Despite budget overruns and construction delays, it's now open to the public.
